Dr. Bryant has taken extensive
continuing education in
the field of ''Occlusion''.
Which is the study of how
the upper and lower teeth
bite together. To
many this seems like a simple
concept -if you want to
eat something just bite
your teeth together and
start chewing. But
for many people it's not
quite that simple.
What happens if your teeth
don't fit together properly?
Or if they come together
all night long (grinding,
bruxing, clenching)?
There are many patients
who have headaches, sore
muscles, excessive wear
on their teeth, loose teeth,
popping and clicking of
their joints, to name a
few of the signs and symptoms
of TMD. For some patients
this is only a mild nuisance
but for others it can be
a very uncomfortable condition.
Dr. Bryant has trained to
learn how to recognize early
signs and symptoms of TMD
and has learned how to treat
the early and moderate stages
of the disease. |
